Cartoonist Lewis Peake on Bush/Obama
Lewis has been sending us his excellent work on a regular basis. We ran a three part series on his political cartoons a few months ago, and it seems that these two pieces would be fitting for Obama’s inauguration today:
The Audacity of Hope. It’s worth noting here that Bush’s regime already had intentions of winding down Guantanamo. The only problem was no European countries were willing to take the prisoners. One should be cautious when claiming that Obama is closing down Guantanamo, and he’s made no indications that it will shut down sooner than later.
