The Threat of Nuclear Weapons with Noam Chomsky

As the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons enters into force on January 22, Canada has still not signed the treaty despite being “committed” to disarmament.

The Trudeau government needs to live up to its rhetoric and sign the UN Nuclear Ban Treaty. Doing so would be a meaningful contribution to creating a world without the threat of nuclear annihilation.

The Canadian Foreign Policy Institute spoke with renowned intellectual, author, and dissdent Noam Chomsky about the need for Canadians to push for nuclear disarmament and call the government to sign the UN’s TPNW.
