Winnipeg, October 18, 2016 - The decision taken by Green Party of Canada convention delegates to approve a resolution supporting the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel in August 2016 was controversial, so much so that the leadership decided to convene a special general meeting in Calgary, Dec. 3 & 4, 2016 to reconsider the resolution. In the lead-up to the special general meeting, Green Party BDS supporters are holding townhall meetings across Canada. In this video (part one), we hear from Dimitri Lascaris, author of the pro-BDS resolution that the Green Party approved in August, Mark Golden, a member of Independent Jewish Voices Winnipeg, and David Kattenburg, who is CEO of the Green Party’s Winnipeg Centre electoral district association. In part two, we will hear from members of the audience.
