Review: Terrorism and the Economy: How the War On Terror Is Bankrupting the World

Reviews

Terrorism and the Economy focuses on the connections between the war on terror and the economic crisis. While the root of the crisis lies within the capitalist system itself, economist Loretta Napoleoni chooses to focus on the many ways in which the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have contributed to this crisis. She also makes the case that the War on Terror, and the fear that terrorism inspires, have been used to blind people to the actual structural economic and political problems that led to the economic crisis in the first place.
