Let’s not forget that 64 per cent of Israelis favour direct talks between Israel and Hamas. Support for Hamas within Gaza is growing. To quote Jimmy Carters recent NYT op-ed, “In the Middle East [...] the path to peace lies in negotiation, not in isolation.”

Who did your bogus “poll” for you?... Hezbollah News
services? No Israelis in their right minds are going to favour talks with organizations openly committed to their annihilation.
millions of Or did you just make it up because only “stupid people” read the pro-terror agit prop you post?
Carter has been so discredited for kissing terrorist ass that it’s not even close to relevant to this issue. He’s also totally compromised because he accepts Saudi petro dollars for his “research” foundation.
We’re a long way away from hand shakes and photo ops on the white house lawn.
Ultimately the path to peace DOES lie in negotiations, and some are going on between the Abbas Regime and Israel including security issues, and that’s where the progress is carefully happening…at this time, there is a mutual initiative to train an elite PA police force in Jordan who will presumably enforce public order and deal with terroristic militias legitimately representing the interests of the Palestinian people enroute to formal statehood, and reasonable co-existence. But it’s like on another planet compared to Gaza.
But the Hamas scenario is a festering sore. The people themselves are going to have to rise up against Hamas. That may not be possible in the current situation without outside intervention, or a genuine collapse of the Hamas regime. But it’s propped up by Iran to do war, not develop an economy or means of sustenance.
But let’s get back to your motives and intentions Mr. Brett. What do you expect the Israelis to do in the face of these atrocities?
I expect that you share a position with Hamas. If so, why not just be honest and say so?

What a dishonest headline!
Not that we expect anything different on this blog.
Ceasefire? If the Hamas actually WANTED a ceasefire, all they would have to do is stop waging war against their neighbors and it would all fall into place quite easily.
They’re not sincere. Obviously it’s just another scam.
Imagine folks so depraved that they fire upon relief convoys and hijack emergency fuel shipments to their own people!
There’s about 7,000,000 people there. Hamas and their puppet masters in Iran want to kill everybody in Israel. They’re explicit about this and have repeated it many times.
What is Matt thinking about when he posts this nonsense? I would like Matt Brett or the managers of this site to suggest what Israelis should do? Are you condoning and supporting terror and murder?

Well it’s been 24 hours and no word on sources or positions from Mr. Brett.
I think he “ran away.”
