As a senior citizen, and a resident of the Maritimes, the BC carbon tax does not impact me. Citoyen Dion and his green shaft will. He will be putting Canadians through unnecessary finanacial hardships. Senior citizens on a fixed income, (that's me) will be severely impacted by this onerous burden. My question is, why??? Canada contributes less than 2% of "so called" GHG to the atmosphere. This green shaft will raise the cost of everything, the so called plan will have no impact on reducing GHG, I have seen no figures as to what the reduction would be, suffice to say, it will be well below the afore mentioned 2%, that would not even register on the overall scheme of things. All it is going to do is out me in the poor house.
