Hi Murray-

The problem with working with the NDP on the issue of proportional representation is the fact that the promise was made in 2004. We didnt see any movement or any indication that the NDP was willing to work with us on it.

We have seen more movement on proportional represenation from fairvote Canada and the upcoming citizen assembly in Ontario. I use this as an example and understand it is a provincial assembly.

I would suggest that the environmentalists within the NDP take a serious look at the campaign in London North Centre and see how Elizabeth May is focused on the issues while the NDP candidate has been in a verbal mishmash about irrevalant banter.

If the NDP is serious about democratic reform and wants to see a legitimate partnership, the NDP will need to work with the Greens and get Elizabeth May on the T.V debates. Only then, would Greens take the offer of a partnership seriously.
