Hey folks:

Canadian Dimension articles are great.REad one a while back by Peter Cizek on tar sands, PEW, etc. I hope you are keeping tabs on goings-on in the U.S related to a series of quid pro quo Wilderness Bills, in Nevada, that are extending water pipeline corridors Northward.

Substantial PEW funding is behind the group called Campaign for America's Wilderness that is a big part of the money behind the enviro groups that have backed these Nevada Bills. PEW has a goal of getting ten million or so acres designated Wilderness. I am beginning to wonder if that is "Cover" for getting ALL the other things that are associated with the massive Land Use Bills (such as Water and Energy Corridors) to which some Wilderness is hitched on.

On top of this, we keep hearing that new Energy (Powerline Infrastructure),including a Private Powerline enterprise called Northern Lights from the Canadian Tar Sands is supposed to extend South, and either link with, or come close to linking with, a holdover Energy Corridor not yet built but cleared in an old EIS Energy corridor from the early 90's - called SWIP "Southwest Intertie Project".

I'd be happy to talk to with anyone about all this.

Sorry... My previous comment was "old news"... It has gotten worst since. I won't go through the whole Permalat money laundering scandal but in the end, the water pumping station has been sold to the "Morgan Stanley" american bank for $18 millions. They now have full control of the ressource. They haven't shown any intention in commercialising it as Permalat did (Esker bottled water) so we can guest where 100% of it will go...

They are doing it through the back door...

The consortium "Permalat" (Italian - 60% share) and "Eaux Vives Harricana" (French - 40% shares) will sell 67% of its production of our finest water (esker water from Amos, Quebec) to the US, 21% to Asia and the rest (12%) will remain in Canada...
