		<description>&lt;p&gt;The Article mentioned Biofuels that compete with land for food production. I have a suggestion of a crop plant that will grow in some of the worse soils, with little in the way of inputs such as fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides. The specific plant would be Hemp, grown for seed and fibre. It can provide food as well as fuel. It is a weed and is a good soil binder, so it can grow just about anywhere. That would be a great place to start. Make it not only legal to grow by everyone, but encourage it's growth.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That is one of many partial solutions. No one thing is going to replace oil, so the mor irons we have in the fire, the better off we are.&lt;/p&gt;
