I like your confidence. I like the fact that you never bought into the corporate lies sold to us the
working class "buy" the media that they also own( corporate elite ). You are truly on the right track. A perfect example that corporate america is a wolf in sheeps clothing is found in the documentary " Enron: The smartest guys in the room" . You get to hear what they really think of us the "lower class" as they call us.
You get to hear in their own words the complicity between the Bush government, Enron, checks and balances like Arthur Anderson the so called watch dogs shredding Enrons corporate documents.
It was all a lie that capitalism would take better care of us the working class then a socialist society would.
When socialism was growing they were fighting for our hearts and minds. Now they know they don't have to anymore. " Globalization"
It's time we the working class globalize our ideals, theirs don't even include us. Let alone support us.

Albert Einstein that is my hero said " The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the evil people who are evil; but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

with great humility

Sam Gindin draws to the fore-front some critical, current, imposing threats made against the domestic producing auto sector and unionized members within it.

Falling back to the rationale that the dominance of corporate power exceeds our abilities, to counter it, defies our origins as a Union. The CAW brought working-class aspirations against the dogmatic-design of the corporate agenda and its 'players'. And we need to again!!

The time is fast approaching for us to confront the growth of a 'defeated' conception in collective bargaining, politics, and our sense that we are 'beaten' within the CAW.

We must mobilize to confront the assaults made against our members, bring more members to our union; through the fight against the 'text' of corporate globalization, FTA, NAFTA, the envisioned South Korean trade pact, and the FTAA.

We can defeat the deformed conception of a reality business wishes on us. A new popular sovereignty, and a remaking of our trade relations that can move Canada toward more maturing economic independance and security.

This struggle, today, is as converging for us in the CAW as it is for the majority of Canadians well beyond our ranks. And its a struggle we must lift ourselves up to accomplish. We can do it!!
