		<description>&lt;p&gt;It was certainly a sad time for the NDP, and Canadian left politics in general, when Jack Layton went after the Liberals instead of the Conservatives in his rhetoric.  So much for the emergence of a Righty-Lefty showdown.  As Gad said, 'tis the cost of going for more seats.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;While I do not love Layton, I certainly will not vote for any other party.  Joining the NDP and hoping to change the party from 'within' appears to be the most viable option.&lt;/p&gt;
